Art of Preparedness
One of the most important lessons I have carried for nearly my whole life is the Boy Scout Motto, "Be Prepared." Ask any dedicated photojournalist and they will have a story about, "the one that got away." Press further and they will tell you they missed the moment because they weren't ready.
The lasting and profound magic of photography lies in the split second. To capture this essence one must be married to the moment, ready at all times to meet the very present with preparation, skill and focus.
This blog stands as a tribute to those moments, both past and present, that I was lucky enough to meet along the way. Though life often steals those moments away, I strive to hold that old motto dear and practice the "Art of Preparedness."
